Doug Mathis

As a senior in high school, Doug auditioned to be a performer at Opryland USA performing in shows highlighting the top acts in Nashville. He began singing in the “Country Music USA” show singing songs of artists such as Roy Acuff, John Denver and Kenny Rogers, and three years later he became the lead singer for “The Cumberland Boys,” Opryland’s gospel quartet, touring the country for four years. Doug has also been a senior pastor and a minister of music in several churches across the south. More recently Doug has done house and venue concerts from California to the Carolinas, and he is currently taking bookings across the Country with the breakout new songs on Positive Country Radio. Doug has a passion to write country and gospel songs that tell stories that connect people to the most meaningful things in life: Faith, Family, and an honest but pure, patriotic love for America. “When He Calls My Name“, “Love Somebody” and “King of Love” were all #1 songs in 2021 and 2022 on the positive country chart. And his song, “America, Heal The Divide” was a top 5 song in early 2021. Doug currently lives in Mount Juliet Tennessee with his wife Kelley and his two dogs, Logan and Cash.
